Rehearsing in Reverse (Poem)

The Tropical Flowering Zone

 Caribbean Skies

I rehearsed experience in reverse
To finally comprehend
The distances floating me adrift in the mirror
Of the Seven Seas
from atmospheric crafted pathways…

Setting sails of departures
As drafts chapped my skin
Yet formed gateways
For sailor’s kin
And grew older, bony, and thin…

To land where I thought you where
And anchored there
To face you greeting me and dare
Face the oblivion
of glittering vessel fares…

Which crossed over ocean’s curves
Swirls, and current swells
Over boulders, streams flowing dispersed
With Spring’s arrival
Which stared, experienced in reverse…
